VWCR were pleased and proud to be invited to the Heart of Yorkshire award ceremony, near Selby.
The day was a celebration of Venetia Ann Wrigley dedication to the community and for the charities that have been touched by her. Venetia was the 2021 High Sheriff of North Yorkshire. Where she came to visit Veterans woodcraft Richmond, she was delighted by what she had seen and was happy to get involved.
To mark this amazing woman, it was decided that there should be a fitting reminder of her tireless dedication to charities and volunteers in North Yorkshire. VWCR were privileged to be invited to the initial award ceremony where we met some other worthwhile charities that Venetia had been involved with. After a few stories about her dedication, she then presented the New Award “Heart of Yorkshire“. Along with other Yorkshire charities VWCR also was given one of the awards as shown.
